The College of Visual & Performing Arts (CVPA) at UMass Dartmouth will help you develop and showcase your talent. It’s a tightknit community of artists, scholars and musicians working together to inspire and breed creativity. The Artisanry degree program includes concentrations in Textile Design/Fiber Arts, Jewelry/Metals and Ceramics—a great and affordable opportunity for students interested in fashion and design! Other degree programs include Art Education, Art History, Fine Arts, Music, and Visual Design.
Studios and classrooms are located on the main Dartmouth campus and the CVPA’s Star Store campus in downtown New Bedford. The Star Store campus is home to many artists working in a variety of disciplines and contains exhibition spaces. In addition to the vibrant arts program, there are a variety of art-themed student clubs on campus, including the Animation Club, the Ceramics Club, Figure Drawing Club, and Art History Club. With clubs covering a variety of subjects, you are sure to find a group that interests you!
