Find Your Calling with Richard Bland College’s Guaranteed Admission to Top Nursing Programs

08/20/2018

Nursing is a rewarding, challenging profession that’s in high demand—by 2026, the U.S. will need over 438,000 more nurses. The Richard Bland College (RBC) of William & Mary helps students get a high-quality nursing degree through their guaranteed transfer agreements with top four-year colleges.

GSSP + RBC = BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Richard Bland College is partnered with over 40+ universities and colleges in Virginia to guarantee admission to students who successfully complete their associate’s degree through the RBC Global Student Success Program (GSSP).

The GSSP is designed to help international students succeed in American universities. Through the program, international students are able to live and study alongside American students on a welcoming and safe university campus in contemporary, apartment-style residence halls.

Students enrolled in GSSP at RBC will receive extra assistance to adjust to America’s academic system through personalized advising with the help of Learner Mentors. When they enroll through GSSP at RBC, international students will save time and money by earning an associate’s degree first.

For students interested in a career in Nursing, GSSP and RBC have partnered with three of Virginia’s top nursing programs. RBC offers an Associate of Science degree designed for students who plan to complete their bachelor’s degree in nursing at one of three partner universities: Jefferson College of Health Sciences, Longwood University or Old Dominion University.

Jefferson College of Health Sciences

Jefferson College of Health Sciences’ nursing program is integrated with one of the nation’s largest healthcare systems, the Carilion Clinic. The college is located in downtown Roanoke, Virginia, a bustling urban area near many clinical sites for practical, hands-on training.

Jefferson College’s students learn the knowledge, skills and values necessary for the delivery of competent and empathetic nursing care to clients in a variety of settings. Through their accredited pre-licensure BSN and RN-BSN programs, Jefferson College provides students with abundant opportunities to advance in their nursing career.

Longwood University

Ranked #27 in top Regional Universities South by U.S. News & World Report, 2018, Longwood University is committed to providing students with a classic liberal arts education paired with practical experience. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Longwood is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and blends classroom theory with applied simulated and hands-on clinical training experiences.

Old Dominion University

The Old Dominion University School of Nursing is renowned for its strong educational offerings that prepare outstanding nurses for professional practice. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing pre-licensure program prepares skilled nurses with excellent clinical practice skills and a strong theoretical foundation. Graduates will be ready for entry-level professional careers in ambulatory care, acute care, home care, rehabilitation and community settings.
